This webpage is
dedicated to all the men who prepare day with day to
defend the national sovereignty of the Mother country;
Mexico. I hope that everything you need you find it here
in this page, if you have information and photos that
you want to share, you do not doubt in doing it.
The
Mexican Army began with the Force of Mars Task, prepared
in antiterrorist operations. The moment in which the
Army energetically began the creation of units highly
prepared was in 1994 as a result of the sprouting of the
conflict in Chiapas; it was then when GAFES and GANFES
were created. Later, more special units were created in
most of the branches of the Mexican Armed Forces.

G.A.F.E.S.
Airborne groups of Special Forces
They are units
highly prepared in airborne operations, created like
units counterinsurgency and in operations against the
drug trafficking. There are approximately 100
distributed Groups of the GAFEs around the Republic, use
the Bells Uh-1 and Mi-8 to conduct its operations.
G.A.N.F.E.S.
Amphibious Groups of Special Forces
Created
parallelly with the GAFEs, trained to conduct operations
of the sea towards the Earth. They have like rank 10 km
from where the earth strip finishes. Trained to conduct
operations antidrug trafficking and against guerrilla.
They use carbon fiber speedboats among other means, are
approximately 40 GANFEs groups.
KAIBILES
Are groups
trained by the famous Kaibiles of the Army of
Guatemala, specialized in anti-guerrilla operations and
of survival in forest. It is not knownn how many groups
of Kaibiles exist in the Mexican Armed Forces, but
approximately 250 elements of the Army have been trained
like Kaibiles instructors; these elements are
characterized by their roughness at the time of
operating, reason why in Guatemala they have been
criticized. These units are prepared to survive in
extreme conditions by long periods.
AGUJAS NEGRAS.
Black
Needles
It is not
known much of these groups, but they were trained by
Brazilian Special Forces, to operate in forests,
missions of assault, recognition, immediate answer,
incursion and special missions of high risk.
BOINAS VERDES.
Green
Berets
Trained by the
famous Green Berets of the United States, prepared for
vertical assault, support to the combat, recognition,
antiterrorism, incursion in zones of high risk.
Navy
Secretariat (includes Naval Air and Marines).
F.R.A.
Forces
of Amphibious Reaction
The
first Special Forces units created in the Navy and
most numerous (approximately 2.500 elements distributed
in the Naval Forces of the Gulf and the Pacific).
2 Forces of
Amphibious Reaction exist, unfolded throughout the
Mexican coasts; composed by Amphibious Battalions of
infantry, Marines of Artillery of Marines, Amphibious
Commandos, Battalion of Boats and Amphibious Vehicles
and Service battalion. Able to operate from Oceanic
ships Patrol (Class Mountain range, Durango and Oaxaca),
in groups that go of the 20 to 40 elements.
Prepared for aerial operations, supported by Mi-17
equipped with artillery, amphibious and marine assault
operations, it fights in the forest, urban amphibian
and, night operations, of interdiction and airborne
operations.
A.S.I.E.S.
Groups
for the Security of Strategic Facilities
Created as a
result of the serious terrorist attacks of the 2001,
formed like units specially destined to protect Mexican
marine and strategic coastal installations, such as: Oil
platforms, Green Lagoon, geothermal, hydroelectric,
thermoelectrical plants, etc. Supported by helicopters
Mi-17, vehicles of transport armored Apc-70, patrols
intercepting Ph-90 and embarked in ships Oceanic Patrol,
are enabled in situations of high risk, taking of
facilities, amphibious assault, air strike, terrestrial,
handling of explosives, vertical assault, commando and
control. At the moment 4 Groups are countd for
the Security of Strategic Facilities.
Fuerzas Especiales.
Special Forces.
Created in
2001, because of the necessity to count on elements able
to respond before any situation and in any atmosphere.
At the moment it counts on 520 elements (4 groups of
130, 2 in each coast). Trained to respond of immediate
way in any operation to maintain the sovereignty of the
Nation, they operate in small units in situations of
high risk. They are supported by Mi-17 equipped with
artillery, although next these will be replaced by Mi-25
Hind, Ph-90 Patrols Polaris class. Trained in vertical,
amphibious and airborne assault operations, it fights
urban, amphibious, in the forest, nocturnal, handling of
explosives, demolitions, operations of high risk,
incursion, operations of survival and antiterrorism.
