The Theology of the Confederacy

A doctrinal and sociological essay by Dennis Wheeler and Gregory West

[Editor's note: This paper provides the theological and sociological framework for the Southern people as a separate people and as a Christian people. Friends, compared to your acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and your embrace of the Christian religion, all other beliefs and actions of your life are irrelevant. If you are not a Christian, then nothing else you do in life will add up to much when your life is over. I want to state these things up front.

The Southern people have traditionally been a Christian people. And in this paper we define what that means and how it has played out throughout Southern history, as well as how the North violated the compact between the two peoples in the Civil War.]
