Arkansas is a Rebel State!
This is NOT Kansas, "Good Citizen" Union Loyalist!
This is Arkansas!

Arkansas is NOT 'Ar-Kansas'!
Arkansas is 'Ar-kin-saw'!
Arkansaw

Cavalry Clash of Arms on the Federal left flank - gallant Rebel Troopers win the Fight! Union artillery (in red battle shirts) beats a hasty retreat while Federal Cavalry holds back the attacking Confederate Cavalry for a short time before retreating. Three Rebel Horsemen shoot fleeing Federal trooper and his horse! Yanks are about to return fire! They fire one volley then turn tail and run!

Confederate Army Cavalry Reenactors advance towards the invading Federals at Old Washington State Park in Arkansas, the scene of an Annual Civil War Reenactment Event, Tactical War Games and Living History Encampments. This Rebel Cavalry action has just driven away Union artillery on the Federal left flank and leads to a sharp melee with enemy troopers pictured below, which was all just a small part of a much larger Skirmish involving Infantry and Artillery on both sides. There were well over 300 reenactors involved in this 3 day event and war games. One well known and highly respected Confederate Infantry Reenactor with the 3rd. Arkansas Infantry died of a heart attack during the tactical war games the day before this photograph was taken; that is why many of the men in these two photographs are wearing black arm bands and the Rebel Battle Flag in some of the photos on these pages has a black ribbon tied to the top of the staff. Army Sport is a strenuous and sometimes dangerous sport.

Riding with the 3rd. Arkansas Cavalry CSA, Company A, Rebel Cavalry Reenactors at War Between The States Battle Reenactments and Tactical War Games.

Rebels and Federals fight hand to hand with sabers and pistols in a Cavalry Melee during one of the Skirmish Reenactments at Old Historic Washington, Arkansas State Park. The Yankee troopers made repeated stubborn attempts to stop these aggressive Confederate troopers from attacking the Union Infantry left flank and rear, they failed and fled! In this Skirmish these Rebel Cavalrymen galloped down the rear of the Federal lines pistols blazing, firing into Union Infantrymen at short range. Boldly shooting down the Union infantry color bearer and most of the color guard at extreme close range in a whirlwind lightening fast attack! This gallant action helped to confuse and demoralize the Federal Infantry thereby helping the Rebel Infantry to press forward their attack and decisively defeat the invading Union Army. The Federal Army was soundly defeated and driven away from Washington, Arkansas C.S.A. In defence of Dixieland, our Kinfolk, the true Christian Faith and Southron Heritage!

Join a Rebel Militia Unit Today!
Civil War Reenacting Tactical War Games and Living History Events have in the past been and continue to be a good way to Recruit & Train below the radar of the U.S. Federal Police State and Union Loyalist "Good Citizens". Many American Rebel Militia Units have been formed and received some of their basic training in this way. Be sure to also train both the troopers and the horses Klandestinely with modern weaponry!

Son of Confederate Veterans
(NOT a "Rainbow Rebel"!)
Sons of Confederate Veterans Camps are part of the National Organization of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. It is a fine Southern Heritage Organization, but there are constant battles within the ranks of the SCV between those who understand that White Supremacy was and is the "Cornerstone of the Cause" and those "Rainbow Rebels" who ignorantly embrace multiculturalism. SCV Camps are a good place to get involved in War Between The States Reenacting and uphold Southern Confederate Rebel Heritage.
The James M. Keller Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has a CS Artillery Reenacting Unit attached to it with a battery of two cannons. The one shown in the photo above was one of several at the Old Washington, Arkansas Civil War Reenacting Event pictured in other photographs on this web page. The red shirts were known as Battle Shirts back during the War Between The States and they were worn by both sides of the conflict. This is a Union unit in action during a skirmish. Many units portray both sides and simply fall in wherever needed the most during a particular reenactment or war game. The Tactical War Games are extremely competitive and are somewhat like modern army war games. In the larger Events around the Nation thousands of Reenactors participate in the staged battles which are like an outdoor drama for the public and a memorial to the actual battles and the men who fought there. The tactical war games are exciting army sport!

"The nation was clothed with ample powers to maintain its own supremacy and life forever -- with its foundation upon the White Race, Christianity, and a Republican form of government. If this nation does not like a planet, revolve in orbit around this "trinity," the nation's purpose for existence will have ceased to exist and though its Union is preserved, it will exist only as a Dummy." -- Thomas Jefferson

LIVING HISTORY OUTDOOR DRAMA
CIVIL WAR SKIRMISH REENACTMENT

Rebel Infantry skirmishing with Federal Infantry at Old Washington, Arkansas. The Feds have just fired a volley into the Confederate ranks and are are obscured by smoke behind the split rail fence. Previous Union fire has decimated the ranks of the advancing Confederate soldiers, none the less they Hold Fast and eventually press forward their attack. Artillery, Cavalry, and more Infantry from both sides are in furious action in other parts of this battlefield. Reenactors study and work hard to put on a good realistic action-packed show for the attending public audience and their non-combatant family members!
TACTICAL WAR GAMES!
CIVIL WAR SKIRMISH - TACTICAL WAR GAME

War Game Scenario: These two photographs show Rebel Infantry and Cavalry rushing to defensive positions in preparation to defend Old Washington, Arkansas against an impending assault by the invading Federal Army which has already captured Little Rock, Arkansas. These Tactical War Games are NOT scripted like the Skirmish and Battle Reenactments and are full of action, and surprises. The opposing foes get extremely aggressive and intensely competitive. Note that in the beginning few minutes of this War Game some of the spectators (one is seated in a lawn chair) have been overrun and are caught in the middle of the action. This is NOT really safe for the spectators since Tactical War Games are inherently dangerous, and people do get seriously injured. Spectators should be kept at a safe distance away, yet still at a good vantage point for viewing the action when possible. Some War Games are over a large area and last for several days. This is a really good hobby and a fine sport with lots of physical exercise and the honing of military skills. Modern Tactical War Games are no doubt much better training, but this Civil War Army Sport is none the less good Militia training for modern war!

Arkansas State Parks

Arkansas State Parks Naturalist Joe Johnson in 1981.
I first got seriously involved in Civil War Reenacting while working for the Arkansas State Parks as the Interpretive Naturalist at Lake Chicot State Park at age 30 back in 1980. Many Reenacting Events are held in Arkansas State Parks every year. If you have never been to such an Event you should go to one, either in Arkansas or your own home State.
